8000 Series 65-inch Samsung 3D LED TV debuts at IFA 2010

Samsung brings a gorgeous and very large 3D TV with the 65-inch 8000 Series to the IFA 2010

Today, Samsung highlights a amazing new 3D LED TV. Samsung will certainly also provide lots of 3D TV at the IFA 2010 starting soon. The 65-inch 8000 Series 3D LED TV is a stunner and is the best size for enjoying 3D films.

The new 8000 Series Samsung TV also features an upgraded Internet@TV service with new capabilities. Samsung did not reveal any hard specifications yet for this TV. We will want to wait until the IFA 2010 starts.

46” 8000 series sample is as loaded with features as last year’s 8000 items, and is targeted at the well-heeled video enthusiast that needs to be the first on the block with the latest and the mostest. With LED edge-lit backlighting (which last year’s comparable styles had), this new range adds a new type of local dimming to the mix, a first for LED edge-lit LCD sets, where the top and bottom rows of white LEDs feature variable modulation intensity according to the picture content at any given moment. This allows for darker picture areas to have less backlighting, with brighter areas to a have some extra luminance “pop.” And, as was the case with last year’s 8000 models, this series continues with 240 Hz screen refresh, which helps sharpen up 2D content while smoothing out 24 fps film-originated judder.

The IFA 2010 Consumer Electronics Show will be held in Berlin this week. The IFA 2010 is celebrating the 50th edition and we will be reporting about all the news. Stay tuned for tons of 3D TV related news.
